Averee Jimenez is an Affiliate Advisor with NEACH Payments Group (NPG), specializing in payments risk and compliance. She holds multiple professional designations—including Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), National Check Professional (NCP), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)—which reinforce her deep expertise across Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, and Deposit Operations. She has also served on the Board of Directors for a local credit union.
Averee began her career in the banking industry in 2013 as an Item Processor at a small check processing company while completing her associate degree in IT. After mastering check operations, she transitioned to Correspondent Banking, where she was introduced to ACH and broadened her understanding of banking operations. She later joined a local credit union, where she was introduced to wire processing and quickly became a natural leader, earning a promotion to Lead Payments Representative. Later she gained experience of working with Third-Party Senders, while working with a Third-Party Payment Processor as a Compliance Specialist and eventually a Compliance Manager.
In 2021, Averee accepted her first, true, leadership role at a large, local credit union. There, she led a team of 10 responsible for processing incoming Check 21 items, ACH and wires. Recognizing opportunities to strengthen internal controls, she brought additional processes—such as Check 21 adjustments and RDC oversight—under her team’s management to reduce operational risk. She also took ownership of an unmanned process where her and her team created proper internal controls to reduce fraud and operational losses the company was experiencing.
In the fall of 2025, Averee joined NEACH Payments Group, motivated by her passion for payments risk and compliance. Her extensive operational background, technical expertise, and commitment to strengthening payment systems continue to shape her contributions to the industry.
